About the Author

Lori King-Kocsis is the author of Facing Fifty, mother of 4, wife of artist Paul David (www.pauldavidart.com).

Lori has always been curious about what makes people do the things they do.  What kind of jobs have they had? What have they created, invented? What their families are like, their greatest joys and their deepest challenges.  It is this curiosity that continues to be a thread in her blog Facing Fifty. She has spent many years and hours working with individuals whether its about their company, their projects or their life, and she continues to be passionate about others and their most rewarding and challenging moments.

Realizing a long-held dream she is heading on the road with her family in an Airstream.  Over the hill?  That’s right — over this hill — over that hill all the way around the country.  You can follow the travels on Road to Home.

Lori spent most of her early years on a farm, feeding pigs and chickens, riding horses ,  making castles out of bales of hay, and eating a lot of maple syrup.

Lori

Lori created Facing Fifty as an affirmation to the age of Fifty through all the complexities and  joys of the half-century mark.

You Rock, Woman! Your light shines so brightly and enriches the lives of all of us who are lucky to know you. I am so grateful that I met you that day you came in to buy a copy of “A Final Wine” by the great Ina Jones! Immeasurable blessings to you…

    Hi Lori!

I’ve just hit 50. I’m new to blogging and just found yours which I think is fabulous. Not only is it beautifully presented (I love your husband’s painting) but your comments are insightful and I’ve enjoyed reading your blogs.

Continued success in all you do.

    Kind regards

    Carol

Hi Carol ~ Welcome to the best years of your life! That is how I certainly feel. Thank you for writing and finding my humble blog on the www! I enjoy writing, and I’m sure I don’t write as much as I could or should, I tend to write when I am inspired. I met a woman through the web who has a site called “Mini-pause”, that started as a whimsical pun on those particular years that face women — she ended up with quite a profitable website (and a surprise to her).
Feel free to e-mail me – I’ll be happy to connect and share!
