Be Open to It

March 28, 2011

My husband; Paul, likes to have an extra blank canvas on an easel in his studio at all times.  The other day, when he said he needed to go pick up some canvas, we talked about the blank canvas. I thought, how very “law of attraction” of him to do that. He said that he always likes to have  the “possibility” of new work waiting for him.

That reminded me of something I heard about wanting something, and being ready for it. Like travel. Paul  and I talk alot about going back to Italy. We spent 10 wonderful days there on our honeymoon. we vowed to go back. Ever since, (going on 13 years) we find ourselves saying, “when we get to Italy…” and I noticed something. As much as we would love to go to Italy,  our passports have lapsed.   And we would want to go with all four of our children. That would be six passports that need to be prepared (and paid for). So this year, Paul and I have decided that among all the other goals we have, we will have passports for everyone in the family.

This is what it means to be open to it. Be ready for it. Because, when opportunity knocks…you  will want to open that door and  leap right through it.

Sound advice Lori. My rule of thumb for any Goverment document is renew far in advance. (Be it a passport or fishing license!)
