Fifty Years

May 21, 2009

Every once and a while I will think about the number 50. I never really thought of it before as an age, mostly as a number of things. What I’ve found though, is that I think about 50 much differently now that I am 50. And you know what, it does make a difference. It shouldn’t, and I’m sure there are a lot of folks who don’t think this way but, here it is, for me; It makes me think about my future. It makes me think about how quickly time seems to have passed. It makes me think that I want to do things faster, quicker, more insightfully and meaningful. I know I didn’t need to turn 50 to feel this way, but lets just say it has given me perspective on life. My life and what I’m going to do with it over the next 50.
